Around the World
This year has gotten off to an utterly ridiculous start. Now that I’m working with pgEdge, they’re encouraging me to submit to every possible conference that will have me. So I have. In addition to that, there are a few company events which require travel, so I’m globe-trotting for those too.
All in all, this is what my schedule looks like this year so far:
- Feb 3-7 - Spock developer symposium in Alexandria
- March 5-8 - Presenting What’s our Vector, Victor?, regarding easily building Postgres AI and semantic search applications using Postgres, at SCaLE 2025
- March 18-21 - Presenting Always Online or Bust, a talk on Highly Available major version Postgres upgrades at Postgres Conf Orlando 2025
- April 24-25 - Presenting Living on the Edge, about running Postgres in distributed Multi-Master configurations safely at PGDay Chicago 2025. I’ll also be leading a Postgres DBA training session the day before the conference itself.
- April 30-May 2 - EdgeFest! - The yearly company get-together.
This is probably the most I’ve ever traveled in a single year, and that’s all before June. Just look at the end of April! Yikes!
All I have to say about all of this is: thank goodness I’m not a well known Postgres contributor, or I’d be in trouble. I can’t comprehend how Bruce does it; the guy’s a maniac.
If you happen to be in any of these areas while I’m around, look me up.
Until Tomorrow
